TNT UK wins £2.5m Universal Music distribution contract

TNT UK has won a £2.5 million overnight express contract to distribute music and film CDs andDVDs throughout Britain for Universal Music Operations Ltd, part of the Universal entertainment

TNT’s nationwide distribution of the CDs and DVDs starts in February, when more than 500,000items will be dispatched to city centre retailers. The contract follows a successful trial inScotland last year.

The deal marks the latest chapter in TNT’s successful relationship with Universal. The ArchiveServices arm of TNT already stores 200,000 original tapes and 30,000 archive boxes for theorganisation at its special temperature and humidity-controlled facilities.
