Top manager leaves La Poste

One of the senior managers at France’s La Poste group has quit the company. Christian Kozar,head of the postal network (La Poste Grand Public) and previously in charge of the mail division,

has decided to leave after completing the tasks given him by La Poste president Jean-Paul Bailly,the French national postal operator said in a statement. He will be replaced on the executive boardby Philippe Lazare, director general of the postal network division.

Kozar has played a major role in the turnaround strategy for La Poste’s mail activities over thelast three and a half years, La Poste said. His responsibilities included preparing theorganisation for postal competition, and modernisation of the mail business under a €3.4 billioninvestment programme running from 2004 to 2010. He became head of the postal network in November2004 and launched the €770 million three-year investment programme to modernise the postalnetwork.
