UPS said that it is this week celebrating 30 years of operations in Germany, the country where itlaunched its international expansion outside the USA.
UPS Germany, which launched in 1976 with 211 staff, 120 vehicles and 20 branches, now hasmore than 14,000 employees, about 3,700 vehicles and more than 150 service points. No revenue orvolume figures for individual countries are disclosed.
Jörns Reineke, head of UPS in Germany, said: “Our business here has grown continually overthe years, and today Germany remains the largest single market for UPS outside the USA.” Hehighlighted the service focus of UPS staff, reliable and innovative products, and technology as keyfactors in the company’s success.
