British two-person home delivery company ArrowXL has secured contracts from three new clients and is also investing £5 million to further strengthen its fleet.

Fired-Up Corporation, a domestic heating and fireplace specialist, has switched to ArrowXL to deliver their large and often fragile products throughout the UK in a move designed to improve the customer experience.

The new contract is worth £350,000 per year and will see ArrowXL take responsibility for the delivery of the established fires and fireplace products under the Adam, Aurora and Corby brands. ArrowXL will handle around 165 deliveries each week to both homes and commercial premises nationwide and will bring the item to the ‘room of choice’, unpack it and remove the packaging.

Moreover, fitness company WaterRower has also chosen ArrowXL to take over the distribution of their high quality, luxury wooden fitness equipment throughout the UK. Products include a range of rowing machines that weigh up to 317Kgs, as well as indoor cycles, cable machines and wall bars under the NOHrD brand. ArrowXL will be responsible for all deliveries to both homes and commercial premises nationwide.

For both companies, deliveries will be undertaken Monday to Saturday with a two-hour delivery window that is fully traceable via the AskAXL App communicated to the customer ahead of delivery. This is reduced to a 30-minute delivery window dynamically ahead of a pre call from the delivery team.

Additionally, Phoenix Safe, a manufacturer of safes and security products, has awarded ArrowXL a 3-year contract to help provide an enhanced customer experience as it continues to grow its product range.

Under the terms of the deal, worth in excess of £250K per annum, ArrowXL will be responsible for the delivery of a range of items to customers nationwide, including safes weighing up to 120kgs, gun cabinets, filing cabinets, key boxes, laptop and tablet security products. The remit also includes the new range of office furniture soon to be launched.

Meanwhile, ArrowXL has made a substantial £5 million investment to further strengthen its fleet and support the ongoing growth of the business. The company has acquired 100 new DAF 180 FA 7.5 tonne trucks which have been deployed across the network. They incorporate a number of features suggested by drivers, including tuck away tail lifts, a narrower body size, and an upgraded passenger seat.

The company also ensured the new trucks included a range of features designed to increase safety for the driver and other road users, such as Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), daytime running lights, Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), and reversing cameras.

Charlie Shiels, CEO at ArrowXL, commented: “This investment is part of the ongoing development of our operations which is designed to ensure that we are continuing to provide our customers with a best in class service. This includes the reopening of our site at Worcester and the upgrade at our Wigan facility.”
