Elisabeth Rodriguez, a 16-year UPS veteran, has been appointed the new country manager for UPS Ireland. She has taken over the role from Andy Smith who moved on to be the Transportation Operations Manager for the UK, Ireland and Nordics District, based out of London.
Rodriguez started her career at UPS in 2001 in Dublin and held various financial management roles in Ireland, Brussel and Stockholm.
In her new role, Rodriguez (36) will be responsible for operations, business development and human resources in Ireland. UPS has six operating facilities in Ireland, a delivery fleet of more than 120 vehicles, and a workforce of approximately 300 employees.
“Elisabeth Rodriguez has gained extensive knowledge across the UPS business in Europe” said Luis Arriaga, president, UPS UK, Ireland and Nordics. “With her in-depth understanding of the market and strong UPS finance and accounting background, Elisabeth and her team are well-equipped to further strengthen our business in Ireland.”
Commenting on her new role, Rodriguez said: “Ireland has seen strong export growth in the last of couple years, and there are considerable opportunities for UPS to help Irish businesses tap into the global market. I look forward to expanding our footprint and ensuring that UPS continues to create value for all customers in Ireland.”
