Hitziger reappointed as Austrian Post mail chief

Austrian Post has reappointed board member Walter Hitziger as head of the mail division for a further five years. His present contract expires at the end of this year. Hitziger joined the company as a board member in 2004.

Supervisory board chairwoman Edith Hlawati said: “Walter Hitziger has made the necessary changes in the mail division and successfully brought it through the last few years despite the declining core business due to continuing e-substitution. With today’s decision, we are showing our clear trust in him and are continuing with the current approach and continuity.”
