Bpost again relied on its new logistics subsidiary Staci for growth last quarter amid flat parcels trends and lower mail profits, and will continue to focus strongly on its ongoing “deep” strategic transformation this year.
The Belgian postal group increased revenues by +12.7% (+€125.9 m) to €1,119 million in the January – March 2025 quarter, with Staci, which it acquired for €1.3 billion last year, contributing €199 million to the total. Group adjusted EBIT fell by -40.2% to €41.6 million, with a margin of 3.7%, despite a positive €13.1 million contribution by Staci.
CEO Chris Peeters commented: “Despite the challenges faced in the first quarter of this year, our results are in line with expectations. We can confirm our outlook for 2025, although we remain cautious.”
