US e-commerce parcel carrier OnTrac is stepping up efforts to attract its competitors’ customers through two new discount programmes aimed at e-commerce brands impacted by rising tariffs and deteriorating service from deferred ground shipping options.

OnTrac’s Reciprocal Discount Program and Ground Switcher Program have been specifically designed to lure shippers away from competitors like UPS and its Ground Saver low priority service and postal consolidator services.

The company is positioning these programmes as faster, more stable alternatives amid mounting pricing instability and delivery delays in the deferred delivery segment.

“In today’s environment, it’s not just about offering a lower rate, it’s about helping customers regain control,” said Michael Cannizzo, Chief Commercial Officer at OnTrac. “Whether it’s avoiding tariff shocks or escaping the unpredictability of deferred delivery, we’re creating a path forward for brands that need to adapt quickly.”
