The UK government is set to review the controversial de minimis rule that allows international companies to export goods to Britain without paying import duties, as fears grow that Chinese retailers could start dumping goods in the UK due to the crippling duties imposed by the Trump administration in the US.

The UK’s current de minimis rule allows international retailers to send packages worth less than £135 to the UK without incurring customs duties.
