SingPost invests S$30m to consolidate parcels and mail sorting

SingPost's e-commerce logistics hub

Singapore Post will invest S$30 million to quadruple sorting capacity at its Regional eCommerce Logistics Hub in order to consolidate all mail and parcels sorting operations at one site within the next few years.

The company will install new sorting equipment that can process up to 300,000 small parcels per day at the eComm Loghub, which can currently sort 100,000 large parcels. It will then switch small parcels sorting from the SingPost Centre in Paya Lebar to the hub and then, at a later date to be decided, mail sorting as well.

By consolidating all mail and parcel operations under one roof, SingPost aims to achieve greater efficiency. In addition, the compact and modular design of the new machinery also frees up significantly more floor space, enabling future enhancements. Moreover, the move will free up space for commercial renting at the SingPost centre.
