FedEx has expanded its operations in Lithuania with the opening of a new sorting facility in Vilnius, which will provide businesses in the country with improved cross-border e-commerce capabilities and streamlined logistics operations.
The new facility, which has opened as e-commerce in Lithuania continues to grow, features a total area of nearly 3,700 sqm, encompassing a 2,500 sqm warehouse and an office space of approximately 1,200 sqm.
Equipped with an advanced sorting system, the facility features three docks for linehaul trucks, three van-truck docks (including one ground-level access), and 40 dedicated courier van docking docks, ensuring efficient handling of current and future parcel volumes, FedEx noted.
