Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics GmbH has announced an overall market image overhaul in Germany starting by renaming their brand to Siemens Logistics GmbH in order to enforce the company’s extended development opportunities.
With effect from April 26, 2019, the company stated, the shorter and more concise name comes into operation, including a new website under: www.siemens-logistics.com.
Michael Reichle, CEO of Siemens Logistics, commented: “The new company name, Siemens Logistics, reinforces our extended development opportunities in the logistics market as a supplier in the automation and digitalization sectors, above and beyond the mail, parcel, and airport sectors.”
Initially, the name change to Siemens Logistics will only affect the company in Germany, but also the regional companies in other countries will follow and change their names sequentially.
Siemens Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens AG, active in areas such as letter and parcel automation, airport logistics and the digitisation of logistics processes using high-quality software and cloud/internet applications. The company claims to have at its disposal a worldwide network of experts which enables them to work with major airports and airlines, global postal and parcel service providers and international industrial and logistics companies.
Operating in more than 60 countries, the headquarters of Siemens Logistics are located in Constance, southern Germany.
