Retail chain FNAC to install 22 parcel terminals at its stores across Spain this year

PUDO locker at FNAC store

FNAC Spain, the Spanish subsidiary of the large French retail chain, has agreed with Pudo International AG to install a total of 22 parcel lockers in its stores this year.

The PUDO (an acronym for "Pick up, Drop off") lockers will be located at FNAC stores in 15 Spanish provinces, with Madrid and Barcelona to have more lockers than other regions.

FNAC customers who make purchases through the website can choose to pick up their items in store which offers them as the main advantage the absence of queues and waiting for the collections in store.

FNAC Spain took this step to streamline the collection process and offer a more satisfactory experience to customers, in view of the increase in purchases from Black Friday and until the end of the year.

In addition to having its own network of lockers to which users can send their purchases online, PUDO International AG has signed agreements with various companies, such as Decathlon Spain, to offer this type of service exclusively to customers of these companies.

PUDO is a network of “smart” parcel terminals that provide an alternative delivery solution on the last mile. PUDO International AG is part of the Swiss multinational company Kern AG with more than 70 years of experience in the logistics sector. It has extensive experience in the design, manufacturing and installation of the lockers and has already installed more than two hundred ticket offices in countries such as Spain, Portugal, Argentina, France or Germany since its creation in 2015. It is headquartered in Spain from where it began to expand its business to other countries such as Portugal or Argentina.
