UPS speeds up express deliveries in Poland

UPS has announced the introduction of earlier express delivery times to more than 25,000 postal codes in Poland.

UPS Express shipments will now be delivered before 10:30 am in 18,282 Polish postal codes, which is 90 minutes earlier than previously. A further 10,142 postal codes will benefit from UPS Express Saver service, with delivery before noon, up to four hours earlier than before.

An additional 11,805 Polish postal codes will receive their UPS Express Saver packages before 2:00 pm, an improvement on the previous end of day delivery commitment. Both UPS Express and UPS Express Saver are covered by a money back guarantee for shippers.

With a faster UPS Express service, businesses in Poland can continue to increase customer satisfaction by getting products to their customers quickly and at an affordable price.

“These earlier delivery times allow our customers to serve their consumers better, receiving their packages up to four hours earlier than before,” said Pavel Adamovsky, country manager, UPS Poland. “UPS has been helping to reliably connect European businesses of all sizes to the world for 40 years. These latest enhancements are further proof of UPS’s commitment to meeting customer needs.”

“UPS is working hard to help Polish companies better serve their customers,” said Nando Cesarone, President, UPS Europe. “This improvement to our UPS Express Service and our improvement to UPS Standard service from Poland to Germany and Austria announced in June are part of an investment that helps our customers ship more efficiently.”

UPS plans to invest $2 billion in its European infrastructure through 2019. In 2014 UPS opened a $25 million package distribution hub in Strykow and a service center in Lodz.

UPS first entered the Polish market in 1992 through a service partner, PPS Polkurier, which UPS acquired in March 2001. In 2005, UPS acquired Messenger Service Stolica S.A. to further strengthen its capabilities, and in 2015 it acquired Poltraf to strengthen its healthcare service offering. With over 2,500 employees and fleet of 1,800 vehicles, UPS is one of the leading courier service providers in Poland.
