Correos Express, the express division of the Spanish postal operator Correos, has launched two different express services targeting business and private customers to further differentiate its product range and customer base.
The new door-to-door B2B service “Paq Empresa14” offers companies and local retailers next-day delivery of their shipments (maximum weight: 40kg) before 2pm for any origin and destination on the Spanish peninsula and also the Balearic and Canary Islands.
The service includes basic insurance, online tracking, immediate localisation of recipients (LID) in case of absence or incorrect delivery address and two delivery attempts. Through the LID service, delivery drivers can directly communicate with the recipients via their handheld terminals and find a solution in case of failed delivery.
For deliveries from online shops to individuals (B2C), the company has introduced the door-to-door, next-day service “ePaq24” which includes all the technological innovations of Correos Express to improve the e-commerce experience for private customers.
As part of this service, all online shoppers receive an SMS notification with the predicted delivery time slot if they supplied their mobile phone number. This service option is free of charge. ePaq24 also includes basic insurance, online tracking, immediate localisation of recipients and two delivery attempts.
With Paq Empresa14 and ePaq24 being added to the existing express services “Paq10”, “Paq14” and “Paq24”, Correos Express now offers five premium services for different delivery needs.
“From now on, when a company has to dispatch a shipment for delivery the next day, it can make a better segmentation and choose the one that responds to the needs of its customers in the best way: business customers (B2B) receive all shipments before lunch with Paq Empresa14, private individuals (B2C) will have the best technological solutions on the market with ePaq24 guaranteeing delivery with predicted delivery time slot or immediate localisation of recipients in case of absence,” the company said.
