TNT Innight delivers spare parts for Mazda Motors from Belgium to Germany

TNT Innight

TNT Innight Germany has taken over the after sales logistics for Mazda Motors (Germany) delivering spare parts from Madza’s central warehouse in Willebroek, Belgium, to Germany overnight.

Since the start of the cooperation in September 2015, the night express specialist has been delivering replacement parts and accessories from Mazda Motor Logistics Europe (MLE), the European logistics hub of the automaker, to Germany.

Items, which can be ordered until late afternoon, are delivered early in the morning on the next working day to the recipient. This involves spare parts that are transported with several mega trailers and a van from Belgium to Germany where they are handled and finally delivered to Mazda’s 740 partners across Germany. Despite the short time between collection and delivery, the parts are available the next working day before start of work where they are needed – spare parts directly in the workshop and accessories in the sales room.

“For us and our brand, high customer satisfaction is extremely important. Long waiting times for spare parts or repairs are thus unacceptable for us,” Heinz-Dieter Renne, Manager After Sales Service Mazda in Germany, said.

In addition to the short response time, TNT Innight convinced Mazda especially with its service-oriented approach when it comes to the actual transportation. It thus integrated Mazda’s mesh transportation boxes and reusable boxes into its logistics processes.

The parts that are not needed or damaged are taken back to Willebroek as return shipments. From there, they are either collected or checked directly at the warehouse – depending on the label – and processed appropriately. A major advantage is the proactive communication and the reporting system of TNT Innight.

Thanks to appropriate IT solutions, the Mazda partner receives an automatic message in the morning that the items were delivered on time. If a delivery is delayed or cannot take place, the system identified the problem and Mazda can react to it as needed.

Moreover, TNT Innight has also taken over parts of inbound logistics for Mazda, Steffen Beuerle, European Key Account Manager at TNT Innight, added. “Thanks to our high market coverage in the automotive sector, we can successfully exploit the synergies here.”
