Nordic express operator Jetpak signs same-day delivery contract with Swedish retailer

Jetpak

Nordic express delivery company Jetpak has signed a logistics contract with the Swedish retailer Proffsmagasinet for same-day deliveries of its products ordered online.

Proffsmagasinet sells instruments and tools for building and construction and various kinds of electronics, among others.

With the new agreement, its customers can get their orders delivered to their desired address on the same day. Orders placed on weekdays before 9 am can now be delivered the same afternoon. The express delivery is now possible for 3,500 selected zip codes in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Uppsala County. More cities are due to be added in the course of the year.

“More and more e-commerce customers demand fast delivery. We see the trend clearly. Proffsmagasinet has now taken the next step and expanded its service with Jetpak,” Jetpak explained. To avoid having to go to a delivery point to pick up their goods ordered, customers of Proffsmagasinet can instead get their shipments delivered where they want and at a time that suits them, the company said.

“We are extremely pleased to have been entrusted by Proffsmagasinet to deliver to its customers. A reliable partner for the rapid delivery of quality instruments is important," Fredrik Sidhagen, Commercial Director, Jetpak Group, said.

"Adding express delivery to our offering is an additional piece of the puzzle in our efforts to provide the best service possible. Proffsmagasinet has challenged the traditional construction trade, so it feels very good to be able to offer tools and measuring instruments without traffic jams. Customers can order professional tools on Proffsmagasinet.se in the morning and get the products in the afternoon. We think that customers should be able to get their orders where they want, when they want – and that is what Proffsmagasinet is offering," Jonathan Körösi, CEO Assistant, Proffsmagasinet Sverige AB, added.

Jetpak offers simple and convenient options for priority deliveries door-to-door, both for spontaneous transport needs and customised logistics. It is represented in more than 140 locations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

In 2015, the company has started investing in Europe and set up operations in the Netherlands, the UK and the Baltic countries, among others. Owned by Polaris Private Equity, Jetpak generated revenues worth SEK 800 million (€85.3 million) in 2014.
