TNT Express has launched its operations in Ukraine and is now working directly with local customers through its own subsidiary.
TNT Express spokesman Cyrille Gibot confirmed to CEP-Research the launch of the company’s operations in Ukraine.
The company said in a press release that thanks to TNT’s new format in Ukraine, its customers, in particular exporters, now not only have a direct access to air and road networks but can also take advantage of competitive rates for all international shipments.
"We are pleased to announce to our clients the registration of a legal entity on the territory of Ukraine. TNT was one of the first companies to create its own air and road networks and has one of the most advanced logistics networks in Europe today providing a first class service to its customers," Robert Mianovski, regional managing director of TNT Eastern Europe, said.
"Competition on a global level stimulates small and medium-sized enterprises to optimise internal processes, so our task is to help them increase their export share, making the process more efficient. We will continue to adapt our services and solutions considering the needs of a small business, this is a priority of our strategy TNT Outlook,” he added.
With the establishment of TNT on the Ukrainian express delivery market, the company's customers have access to “Express” and “Economy Express” services. While Express provides urgent delivery of goods by the end of the next working day, Economy Express offers economical, day-definite door-to-door delivery combining several means of transport with the possibility of shipment tracking in real time.
TNT said the Economy Express service will enable its customers in Ukraine to optimise the cost of transporting goods around the world while maintaining a high level of service and delivery time. TNT’s European transport network provides daily deliveries of goods from the Ukrainian capital Kiev to any point in Europe and beyond. For example, Economy Express from Singapore to Kiev takes only 6-7 working days and 3-4 working days from the UK.
"TNT has one of the most developed logistics networks and the widest geographical coverage in Europe, and also can carry out deliveries between Europe and the rest of the world. This will allow our customers to solve any problems in supply chain management on a daily basis. With TNT, customers can send documents, parcels and freight while having access to a wide range of additional TNT services including customs clearance, short-term storage and final distribution of goods to end-consumers throughout Ukraine," Anna Melnik, CEO of TNT Ukraine, commented.
As part of launching its operations in Ukraine at the beginning of 2016, TNT is organising a special marketing campaign for existing and potential partners called “Hello Ukraine”. On every shipment dispatched, customers thus receive a 20% discount for Express and Economy Express services over the next three months as well as free brokerage services for the export of items which will enhance the competitiveness of local companies.
"Offering a wide range of high quality services, TNT strives to meet the needs of customers in different business areas,” Maxim Signaevsky, Director of Sales and Marketing at TNT Ukraine, said.
