Austrian Post and DPD Austria have extended their networks of parcel collection points in the country.

At the start of this week Austrian Post opened its 300th self-service zone, open 24/7, in the entrance area of one of its post offices. Customers can post letters and parcels round the clock in these zones, and about two thirds of them feature a parcel collection box.

The 300th self-service zone, located in the post office in the Viennese district of Simmering, covers 80 sqm and has the largest parcel collection terminal in the country with 386 lockers.

Meanwhile, DPD has opened its 1,000th parcel shop in Austria, thus meeting its target of reaching this figure by the end of 2015. The 1,000th DPD Pickup shop is located in a Pagro Diskont store in the Viennese district of Floridsdorf.
