TNT is looking to forge a closer relationship with new SMEs and is sponsoring the Startupbootcamp ‘Smart Transportation and Energy’ programme in Berlin this autumn. Startupbootcamp currently runs accelerator programs in 15 cities.
The Smart Transportation and Energy program includes startups such as xRoute, which provides analytics for route planning; wireless parking sensors developer Stickables; and Logidok, an app to facilitate digital document handling in road transportation.
Instead of providing financial support, TNT will assist the participating start-ups by bringing industry expertise and facilitating contacts with potential customers. Several TNT sales and marketing professionals will act as mentors during the project. In return, TNT will gain insight into technical developments and new business models that are relevant to the transport world, and learn more about the needs of upcoming SMEs. The partnership with Startupbootcamp is part of TNT’s Outlook strategy to serve even more SMEs, even better.
The ‘Smart Transportation and Energy’ programme runs until the end of December. At the end of the three-month program, startups will pitch to more than 150 investors during a ‘demo day’. TNT will stay closely involved with Startupbootcamp and its participants after the programme.
