IPC supports local refugee centre

In the context of the on-going refugee crisis, with tens of thousands of people escaping war and conflict, IPC decided to show its support to a local refugee aid organisation, Vluchtelingenwerk, involved in the reception and accommodation of refugees as well as in providing them with legal advice.

As part of IPC’s contribution to Vluchtelingenwerk, teams of volunteers from IPC are helping on site to prepare and serve meals to refugees on their first day in Belgium.

“As an international organisation employing people from all over the world and as a company with a strong corporate social responsibility engagement, we felt that we could not remain indifferent,” said Herbert-Michael Zapf, President and CEO of IPC.

Vluchtelingenwerk (www.vluchtelingenwerk.be) helps asylum seekers by offering them a meal on their first day of arrival, by providing support and guidance with their asylum application and by helping them to find accommodation.
Vluchtelingenwerk is an official partner of the Belgian Federal Administration for Asylum Seekers, Fedasil, and partners with a wide range of local and international NGOs.
