Hermes Transport Logistics intensifies cooperation with Lynden International

HTL and Lynden intensify cooperation

Hermes Transport Logistics (HTL) has intensified its transatlantic cooperation with Lynden International, a US-based full-service domestic and international freight forwarder with over 30 offices worldwide.

The two companies are from now on cooperating with their respective entire trade and logistics portfolio beyond the borders of Europe and North America. Through the closer intercontinental cooperation, HTL and Lynden strengthen each other's existing logistics networks placing the focus on the development of existing and potential customer groups in Canada, the USA, Mexico and Germany.

"We are very pleased to have won with Lynden International a strong and reliable partner in North America," Stephan Schiller, Managing Director, Sea & Air at HTL, said. "The North American market is a strategically important key market for us and our clients that we want to serve in the future in an even more focused way as part of our global growth strategy. In return, we support Lynden to gain a foothold in Europe. Both partners thus differentiate themselves more strongly in international competition and profit from synergies in the field of infrastructure, product and market-specific expertise.”

As part of the cooperation, both companies can offer their customers logistics solutions and premium services that are now even more tailored to their individual requirements.

Dave Richardson, Managing Director of Lynden International, commented: “Although Lynden and Hermes are located on different continents, we share the same corporate culture and high service standards. Thanks to the cooperation with Hermes, Lynden wins additional competences in the areas of Supply Chain Services, fulfillment and end-customer delivery. These added values significantly support our customer approach in new and attractive markets in Europe."

The companies were already able to win their first joint customers. As the result of this positive start, the cooperation is due to be gradually expanded to further countries in Europe and North America.

HTL was launched in 2009 as a European provider of road freight transportation and incorporated the Otto Group’s existing air and ocean freight forwarding business under a strategy of expanding in new business areas.

Based in Seattle, Lynden International is part of the Lynden Group. Its product range covers worldwide air and sea freight transport, contract logistics, exhibition forwarding, shipping to Alaska, full and part load transport, line cargo ships to Alaska and Hawaii, charter cargo ships, combined chemical freight, scheduled and charter flights as well as combined logistics.
