Hermes Germany has won a logistics contact with Glossybox, a leading e-retailer of beauty boxes worldwide, to manage its parcel deliveries within Germany.
Under the new contract, Hermes is taking over the overall distribution of Glossybox shipments to end-customers, except for deliveries to parcel terminals.
The announcement follows two successful tests across Germany, with Hermes achieving a high number of ‘first attempt’ deliveries. In addition, Glossybox customers can profit from up to four delivery attempts as part of the new contract and further ‘inclusive services’ free of charge. These include e.g. parcel delivery notification and shipment tracking in real time and over 14,000 Hermes parcel shops across Germany of which an increasing number are opened late in the evenings and over the weekends.
"Nearly 97% of all shipments that we transport within Germany, we deliver at first attempt. This is not only a very good result, it is industry-leading. I am all the more pleased that we were able to convince Glossybox of this delivery quality,” Thomas Horst, Hermes Managing Director Sales Germany, said.
"Glossybox has become so successful especially because we place customer satisfaction above everything else. Our pilot with Hermes was very positive, mainly because our customers were very satisfied with the manner and reliability of delivery. That's why we’re going for Hermes in terms of Glossybox deliveries,” Mark Ralea, Managing Director Glossybox Germany, said.
Glossybox was founded in Berlin in 2011 and has delivered over 8 million beauty boxes worldwide since then. The company is active in ten countries, including France, USA and the UK. In the beginning of this year, Glossybox announced its profitability.
