Poland’s Integer ups half-year revenues 23% as international expansion continues

Integer.pl CEO Rafal Brzoska

Polish-based parcels and mail group Integer.pl generated double-digit growth in the first half of 2015 thanks to higher volumes, a new courier service and more international parcel locker installations.

The group increased revenues by 23% to PLN 336 million (€79.3 million) in the first six months, with parcel volumes nearly doubling to more than six million parcels and mail volumes totalling 181 million. Half-year operating profits (EBITDA) came to PLN 26.5 million (€6.25 million) and net profits were PLN 11 million (€2.6 million).

“The first half of 2015 was intensive for the Integer.pl Group. In easyPack we have continued the expansion of InPost parcel lockers on the core markets, we have finalised an agreement with new investors and secured the fast pace of our international expansion. Our strategy to be the first market mover globally is bringing first positive results as we become recognised as a partner for top global e-commerce players,” said CEO Rafal Brzoska.

Integer.pl, best-known internationally through the InPost brand, continued its international expansion by installing new parcel lockers in its core markets such as Poland, UK, France, Italy and Canada. The parcel lockers’ network in the first half of 2015 increased by 460 lockers and the company plans to deploy a further 1,000 lockers by the end of 2015.

In May, the group announced it had raised a further €115 million for the parcel locker network expansion. Its locker subsidiary ‘easyPack’, which expected to have over 5,000 InPost lockers across Europe, North America and the Middle East by the end of 2015, would have funds to develop an additional 4,000 terminals from this investment round.

In Poland, InPost launched its courier service in May 2015, providing services for both individual and business customers. The company offers access to over 8,500 customer points through its InPost Customer Points and automated parcel lockers networks.

InPost courier services include the delivery of parcels to addresses covering the whole country. The national service allows delivery either to a recipient's door or to a selected InPost parcel locker. Guaranteed next-day delivery and attractive pricing with the largest network of collection points make InPost the comprehensive ‘one-stop’ service. The company aims to reach 10% of the courier market segment in Poland by the end of 2017.

In the letter business, volumes grew 33% to 181 million items. InPost launched a new service called ‘E-commerce Polecony InPost’ to provide e-commerce with a door-to-door delivery service that is both quick and affordable. The B2C service not only guarantees delivery within 3 working days, but also provides delivery confirmation and free returns for undelivered items. The service provides track&trace of every parcel, via Parcel Manager for the sender and via the website for the addressee.

“In the first half of 2015, we also increased our range of services and network in Poland by launching courier services, finalised the implementation of Electronic Confirmation of Acceptance and launched a new solution, which is dedicated to e-commerce customers. InPost is ready to deliver a whole range of letter and courier services and stays on the forefront of technological innovation in the industry,” added Brzoska.
