UPS and Staples have teamed up to make it easier for customers to ship parcels via UPS from any of more than 1,300 Staples locations in the USA by means of a ‘Bill My Account’ option.
Under the new deal, customers just need their six-digit UPS account number to pay for shipping services at participating Staples shipping locations and don’t have to prepare labels ahead of time. They will then see the invoice and any customised rates on their regular UPS invoice.
“This feature is particularly useful for people who spend a lot of time on the road, such as distributed sales professionals or technicians. Others, like small business owners, will enjoy the one-stop convenience of being able to purchase office supplies for their business when they ship packages,” UPS said.
“We’re thrilled to offer Staples customers the added convenience for shipping UPS packages,” Damien Leigh, senior vice president, business services, Staples, commented. “The new billing options combined with our expanded line of packaging and shipping products make one-stop shipping easy for our small business customers.”
UPS customers can enroll to the service via ups.com/billmyaccount. There are no additional processing fees or incentive caps in place for the use of Bill My Account, UPS said.
