DPD UK has won all five award categories entered at the 2015 Motor Transport Awards in London, the first time any company has won five awards in one night in the 30 years that the ceremony has been running.
DPD won the Best Use of Technology, the Business Excellence Award, the Customer Care Award, Home Delivery Operator of the Year and the Technical Excellence Award. The awards celebrate the achievements of the industry and recognise innovation, outstanding service, efficiency and quality. They are judged by an independent panel of experts drawn from the industry.
The judges summed up DPD in three words; "consistent, innovative, consumer-minded", and praised the company's "stellar growth", "clear focus on the customer" and investment in technology, claiming DPD was "several years ahead of its competitors".
DPD's CEO Dwain McDonald commented: "To win all five of the categories we entered is just incredible, and shows the strength and depth we have across all our different departments. To hear the judges' praise for everything from our customer service to our technology, right through to the linehaul operation and our mechanics was genuinely heart-warming. We have an amazing team and I am very proud indeed to lead this company.
