TNT Poland has completed the technological upgrade of its international hub in Warsaw as part of its ongoing investment in increasing the productivity and capacity of its European infrastructure.
As part of the hub upgrade, the company has installed a new sorting system equipped with nine additional chutes, which brings the total number of chutes to 30. The company has also added two outfeeds with extendable conveyors for loose loading and unloading of trailers.
The new chutes allow automated scanning of shipments. The hub also features new forklift scanning technology to speed up sorting and redirect the so-called dangerous goods to the dedicated handling area.
The TNT Warsaw facility employs nearly 100 people and serves as a gateway to Poland and nearby countries.
