UPS Foundation

The focus areas for donations include emergency preparedness, disaster relief response/recovery and road safety.

Among the key initiatives that will be supported by UPS in 2015 are:

* UNHCR – Expanding UPS Relief Link, a humanitarian supply chain solution for tracking food and critical relief supplies.
* UNICEF – Strengthening immunisation supply chains and building country level tracking capabilities.
* United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) – Enhancing education and planning to help communities reduce risks and support for the UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan.
* U.S. Chamber Foundation – Enhancing disaster preparedness for small and medium businesses.
* World Food Programme – Conducting logistics capacity assessments in at-risk countries and expanding training for UN Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD).
* GAVI Alliance – Helping to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of vaccine supply chains through enhanced training.

Among the non-profits and organisations that will be supported by The UPS Foundation's 2015 community safety grants are Good360, The American Red Cross, CARE, MedShare, National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, Operation Hope, Salvation Army and St. Bernard Project, to name a few.

"Enhancing the safety of communities by leveraging our core competencies and our philanthropy is a force multiplier," Eduardo Martinez, president of The UPS Foundation said. "Grants are critical in providing funding to address community safety, but at UPS, we go much farther than writing a check. Our expertise in logistics, supply chain management and road safety allows us to get involved in a deeply personal way from global employee volunteerism initiatives to loaning out our logistics executives to partner with non-profits around the world that are making an impact."

In 2014, the UPS Humanitarian Relief & Resilience programme provided global relief partners with funds, in-kind support and supply chain expertise to support preparedness, emergency response and recovery capabilities.
