Belgian postal operator bpost is introducing home deliveries of parcels on Saturdays fromNovember onwards to provide more convenience to customers ordering products online, in addition to
the existing parcel terminals and pick-up points.bpost said it will deliver parcels from most of the shippers in Belgium on Saturdays with effectfrom next month. The company stressed that delivery to home or work by postmen still remains themost popular delivery method among recipients.
As another delivery alternative, customers can get their parcel delivered to one of bpost’s1,250 pick-up points (a post office or a PostPoint) to pick it up themselves or ask someone else topick it up for them.
Parcel terminals represent another popular delivery channel among Belgian parcel recipients. Thecompany already operates over 100 such machines across Belgium where recipients can pick theirparcel at the most convenient time and place for them round the clock. The terminals have beeninstalled at busy locations such as train stations, department store car parks and large postoffices.
