TNT Express has been awarded a two-year contract to provide international delivery services tothe Dutch fashion company Mexx, covering transportation from Asia and distribution within
Europe.The contract sees TNT transporting design samples, which are intended to test the designer’sidea or concept in the chosen fabrication, between Mexx’s suppliers in Asia and the Middle East andits Amsterdam headquarters.
In addition, TNT transports sales samples from Asia to Mexx’s central distribution centre inVoorschoten, the Netherlands. From there, TNT ensures the next-day delivery of the sales samples toshowrooms in Europe for presentation to retailers. The most important destinations are Germany,France, Belgium and the Nordics. TNT uses its European Road Network to carry most of theconsignments across Europe.
Reliability, short lead times, the provision of a proven return solution and the choice oftime-guaranteed express products influenced Mexx’s decision to select TNT.
