CollectPlus, the UK’s largest store-based parcel delivery and returns service, has partneredwith specialist retail property company Capital & Regional to pilot its Click&Collect+

service at two regional shopping centres, with further expansion to follow.

The two pilot schemes are located in Camberley near London and in Redditch, north-eastWorcestershire, respectively. If the trial run at The Mall Camberley and the Kingfisher ShoppingCentre proves successful, the service will be rolled out across the portfolio of Capital &Regional’s community shopping centres across the country.

Click&Collect+ enables customers to order online and have their items delivered to theirlocal CollectPlus store. The new agreement aims to grow its network which currently counts over5,500 locations expanding it to community shopping centres which are well located with a strong andloyal customer base, Neil Ashworth, CEO of CollectPlus, explained.

This partnership, expected to increase footfall and retail sales at the malls, will enableshoppers to order goods from retailers such as John Lewis, Superdry and House of Fraser, and getthem delivered to their local community shopping centre, which allows to control how and when theyshop.

Ashworth said: “Although it is considered a relatively new retail trend, even the way thatpeople prefer to ‘click and collect’ is evolving from pick-up points being primarily where peoplelive, to include locations where they socialise, travel and gather.”

CollectPlus, which works with over 260 retailers, is a joint venture between parcel deliverycompany Yodel, and the retail payment network PayPoint.
