Two German delivery companies are poised for growth in the pharmaceutical logistics market aftergaining certification for their operating standards.

German couriers IN tIME Express Logistik GmbH and trans-o-flex subsidiary ThermoMed haveboth received the “Good Distribution Practice” (GDP) certification for their pharmaceutical supplychain.

The two companies are among the first couriers to fully meet the tougher GDP requirements. Both companies are now certified for three years. After that there will be a completere-certification audit.

In September 2013 a new version of the European Commission’s GDP directive came into forceto ensure quality and safety in pharmaceutical supply chains. Requirements include specificallytrained staff, high standards for the technical equipment of vehicles and advanced documentationobligation.

IN tIME’s subsidiary IN tIME Thermo Sprint certified eight cooling vehicles and createdspecial teams in the areas of customer advice, disposition and documentation at its locations inBruggingen and Isernhagen, Germany.
