Fashion retailer River Island has extended its delivery contract with British parcels carrierYodel for a further three years.
Operating from over 300 stores around the world and with a strong online presence, River Islandis one of the leading retailers on the UK High Street. It has partnered with Yodel on its UKdeliveries since May 2008.
River Island has signed up to Yodel’s 24, 48 and 72hr services. Its shoppers benefit fromYodel’s proactive SMS and e-mail alerts, updating them on their delivery, user-friendly onlinetracking and customer service operatives on webchat, phone and social media.
River Island will also continue to use CollectPlus, Yodel’s joint venture with PayPoint, toallow consumers to collect and return orders via their local convenience store, newsagent or petrolstation.
The delivery offering complements River Island’s commitment to provide an unparalleled shoppingexperience for its customers, according to Yodel.
Commenting on the partnership, Arif Ahmed, logistics director at River Island, said: “We havebeen working with Yodel for six years, and have been impressed with the partnership approach,service innovation and focus on customer service that they provide. For us, it is important toenable our customers to order late into the evening and receive their goods in time for an eventthe very next day. Yodel’s agreement to accept later deliveries into their sort centre means thatwe can now take orders up until 9pm and still offer delivery within 24 hours.”
