TNT Express extends ‘before 12:00’ delivery coverage in Europe

TNT Express has broadened its ‘before 12:00’ delivery services in Europe by adding more than 900extra locations in 16 countries. 

The geographical extension of the international ’12:00 Express’ and ’12:00 Economy Express’delivery services comes on top of recent awards for the Dutch company.

Customers can now benefit from guaranteed morning delivery services to more cities and businessdistricts in Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia,Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK, TNT said.

International ’12:00 Express’ and ’12:00 Economy Express’ services are also available to thethree Benelux countries (nationwide coverage), Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Norwayand Portugal.

“With this upgrade, our ‘before 12:00’ delivery capability increases by 20% in some countries.TNT Express is definitely the company to turn to for all morning deliveries in Europe”, said JanWillem Breen, Global Director Marketing & Strategy, TNT Express.

TNT Express completed the coverage expansion in just three months, as part of its strategy tostrengthen its position in Europe, offer customers more choice and increase revenues from premiumdelivery services.

’12:00 Express’ guarantees delivery before 12:00 noon on the next or earliest possible businessday to 26 countries in Europe and 63 worldwide for documents, packages and palletised freight.’12:00 Economy Express’ is a unique time-guaranteed, door-to-door delivery service for less urgentpackages and freight within Europe.

TNT said the service expansion, which builds on its extensive air and road networks in Europe,will benefit exporters and importers from all kinds of industries, including healthcare,automotive, industrial manufacturing and high-tech.

In parallel, the express operator has launched an international marketing campaign to highlightthe reliability of its international services in Europe. Using the theme ‘Connects Us’, it combinesdirect marketing and online communications.

Meanwhile, TNT Express recently picked up two awards in recognition of its services.

The company gained Delphi Automotive’s 2012 “Above & Beyond” award in recognition ofproviding special services beyond contractual obligations in the past year. “TNT Express hasdemonstrated a high level of flexibility by supporting our customers and optimising ourover-the-road transportation network. TNT Express has worked collaboratively with Delphi Logisticsand Delphi Product & Service Solutions (DPSS) Sales, assuring transportation capacity andminimal transit time to fulfil customer orders,” said Sidney Johnson, Senior Vice President ofGlobal Supply Management for the worldwide automotive supply company.

Last month TNT gained the “Road Supplier of the Year” award for 2013 from CEVA Logistics, one ofthe world’s leading supply chain management companies. Its Global Supplier Awards are designed torecognise best practice and excellence among CEVA’s supplier base worldwide.
