Irish parcels carrier Nightline is restructuring its operations with new units and a new name asthe ‘Nightline Group’ following strong growth in parcel volumes in recent years and to continue on
the growth road.Under the major restructuring move, Nightline Delivers, the company name since 2009, nowrepresents one of the five divisions within the group as its parcels business. The two otherwell-established units are Parcel Motel, Nightline’s lockers network that launched last year, andthe mail business Eirpost, launched in 2011.
As the two other divisions, the group has created Nightline International, offering freightforwarding services, and Nightline Logistics, which will take care of warehousing anddistribution.
Nightline Group CEO John Tuohy said: “The respective divisions represent the particular pointsof focus which the group will have going forward.” He highlighted the move as a necessary part ofthe “evolution and continual development of our brand”.
“We have come a long way in the 21 years that we’ve been in business and the pace of change hasbeen particularly dramatic in the last few years, both in terms of the volumes of materials that wehandle and the way that we do so,” he added.
Founded in 1992, the Dublin-based company now comprises a network of 10 depots across Ireland,in addition to facilities in the UK and Europe.
Nightline claims to deliver more than one-in-four of all parcels transported on Irish roads,cooperating with major brands in different sectors including retail, tobacco, fashion and consumerelectrical goods.
