German special speed logistics provider time:matters has extended its rail-based same-daycourier service to the Netherlands with the opening of a new international ic:courier station at
Amsterdam central train station.The ic:courier service offers customers same-day delivery of their goods within a few hours bytrain for prices starting from €105. The new station at Amsterdam Central adds to the 140 suchlocations at German railway stations and the international stations in Basel, Paris and Vienna.
The courier company uses the high-speed ICE train services of Deutsche Bahn which has four dailyservices between Frankfurt and Amsterdam. The train service, operating at speeds up to 320 km/h,links the two city centres in less than four hours (3:45h).
“The cooperation with Deutsche Bahn gives our customers more flexibility and more transportpossibilities to Amsterdam,” commented Franz-Joseph Miller, CEO time:matters.
As it is the case with all other time:matters services, customers can book their ic:couriershipments via a time:matters service hotline where a customised transport concept is created andtrain stations, courier partners and DB train conductors will be informed. In addition, shipmentsare tracked on a permanent basis.
