Australian parcel lockers supplier TZ Limited (TZL) has signed distribution deals with four moreretailers in its home market and has expanded its existing contract with Singapore Post.
In Australia, the company has partnered with Nike.com, Tony Bianco, Glue Store and Pamper HamperGifts in cooperation with the software group Temando to offer them an efficient alternative forshipping parcels ordered online to their customers.
The retailers will use TZ’s Automated Delivery Asset Manager (A.D.A.M.) network benefittingconsumers who prefer to receive parcels 24 hours a day in a secure, central location, the companysaid. The first locker sites have been launched in Sydney and Melbourne, with additional sitesbeing ready for deployment in Brisbane. Each locker bank contains 49 lockers in various sizes.
TZL has already signed up TNT, Toll Group and Fastway Couriers as its initial delivery partnersthat are either integrated or have interfaces with TZ’s platform.
In practical terms, customers ordering products online from one of the mentioned retailers willhave an additional option of getting their parcels delivered to an A.D.A.M locker. From thetechnical side, Temando makes sure each package is compatible with the A.D.A.M locker sizes andfeeds all delivery information to the carrier for instant execution. In the next step, TZ’sback-end Asset Manager system ensures integration with the carriers services to ensure delivery tothe A.D.A.M. Locker. Customers receive a unique, secure QR code, alerting them when the parcel isready for pick-up.
