Hermes UK is launching a parcel terminal service in cooperation with ByBox for my Hermes, itsonline delivery service for SMEs, following strong volume growth boosted by the launch of myHermes
ParcelShops in June last year.The new parcel lockers operating round the clock seven days a week will complement the existingcourier collection and myHermes ParcelShop services providing more convenience, flexibility andchoice to customers who want to send a parcel or return unwanted online purchases.
Profiting from ByBox’s extensive network across the UK, Hermes plans to establish in the initialstage more than 100 strategically located drop-off points to be extended to 250 by the end of theyear. They will be placed at easy-to-reach and secure sites including local supermarkets, petrolstations and shopping centres with customers choosing the drop-off option that suits them themost.
The myHermes parcel lockers will target, in particular, all SMEs, eBay Powersellers, AmazonMarketplace sellers, online and niche retailers who do not always have the time, availability orresources to send parcels during the day. The service is also ideal for people working late orthose who are not able to use the alternative myHermes collection or ParcelShop drop-offoptions.
