FedEx Express expands in Germany with new stations and jobs

FedEx expands in North Rhine-Westphalia


FedEx Express has opened four new stations in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, increasing the

number of employees in the country’s most populous state by 150 to around 750 in total in the pasttwo years.

The new stations that have started operating over the past four months are located inBergneustadt (Bergisches Land), Gescher (near Coesfeld) as well as Wesel and Zülpich (nearEuskirchen). Other existing branches in North Rhine-Westphalia include Dortmund, Cologne,Mönchengladbach, Münster and Ratingen.

At its Central and Eastern Europe hub at Cologne Bonn Airport, FedEx now employs almost 600staff and more than 1,900 in Germany overall.

The new locations bring the number of FedEx stations in Germany to almost 50 which act as smalldistribution centers. Shipments from regional customers are sorted and bundled here before beingdelivered to recipients in Germany, Europe and around the world.

Weoffer companies quick and reliable connections to their international trading partners and, indoing so, promote growth in the region.”
