Austrian Post

Austrian Post’s online parcel stamps will be available for all 28 countries of the EuropeanUnion from July 1 onwards when Croatia becomes a new EU member.

On the occasion of Croatia’s EU entry on 1 July, 2013, Austrian Post customers will be able tosend their shipments prepaid with online parcel stamps to all EU countries. Bulgaria, Estonia,Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Cyprus have been added tothe existing service.

A shipment prepaid with a parcel stamp can be handed over for delivery at all post offices, Post24 parcel terminals and OMV petrol stations. At the self-service areas of Austrian Post, customerscan deposit their parcels in delivery boxes round the clock and also buy parcel stamps for all EUcountries from the stamping machines.

The parcel stamp is a sticker in an A5 format, with printed barcode and fields for the addressesof the shipper and recipient and various additional services. The parcel prices are calculatedaccording to dimensions rather than weight. The sum of the shortest and longest side of the packageis taken for the price calculation and product definition. For example, the longest and shortestside for the parcel stamp type PM 45 should not exceed 45 cm in total.

In addition, customers can design parcel stamps online with own photos, designs or logosindividually. Up to three pictures formats can be uploaded, trimmed with an assistant tool ifneeded, saved and used for the individual design of the stamp.
