DPD Germany has expanded its offering for mobile devices enabling recipients to choose betweenfour delivery options via their smartphones and tablets in case of a failed delivery attempt.
With the new mobile version of its re-delivery web portal www.neuzustellung.de, DPD Germany is upgrading itsexisting online services. This way, recipients can make use of the new delivery options while onthe move.
Customers use the integrated DPD Parcel Shop Finder to display the nearest DPD parcel shop forthe direct delivery of their shipment to that particular location. In addition, it is possible tochoose the desired day of delivery, an alternative delivery address or to give permission to stopthe shipment. If requested, they also get an order confirmation per e-mail.
“Recipients want to monitor their parcel any time in a flexible way and choose the most suitabledelivery option. Therefore, we are continuing to further develop our online services,” said MichaelKnaupe, Head of B2C Products & Services at DPD GeoPost (Deutschland) GmbH.
The majority of the re-delivery website users now profit from the option of getting their parceldelivered to one of the over 4,500 DPD parcel shops in Germany. The mobile version furthersimplifies the process, DPD stressed.
The mobile version of the re-delivery service is also free for DPD recipients and availableround the clock. The internet portal can be retrieved without time-consuming installation via theinternet browser of the mobile device. The simple menu navigation also enables users to switch thefunctions of the DPD web app after the login with other helpful online services such as completeshipment tracking or the DPD depot finder.
