Deutsche Post DHL has renewed and extended its contract with the global teaching network TeachFor All (TFA) for another three years.
The goal of TFA’s programmes is to foster education and increase the qualification of youngpeople, regardless of their background, in order to improve their chances of findingemployment.
In addition to the financial support granted to TFA by its largest corporate sponsor, DHLemployees also become directly involved in volunteer activities to aid their local TFAorganisations. In 2012, more than 800 DHL employees worked with students and teachers throughinternships, career planning sessions, mentoring and donation drives.

Therefore, an investment in theeducation and training of young people is an investment in the future,” said Frank Appel, CEO ofDeutsche Post DHL.
“If we help Teach For All succeed and support young people around the world, then our company,with its worldwide operations, clearly benefits. The volunteer work of our employees is a keyaspect of the support we provide, as it gives the young people some very practical – and useful –insight into working life.”
Apart from renewing the pre-existing cooperation, the contract is to establish three new countrypartnerships, including one with Teach For The Philippines, which will start in 2013.

Educational support is part of DHL’s Corporate Responsibility efforts, which compriseenvironmental protection (GoGreen), disaster management (GoHelp) and education (GoTeach).
Through its GoTeach programme, Deutsche Post DHL works with partners like TFA and SOS Children’sVillages to improve education and employability. DHL has directly supported both TFA’s globalnetwork and its network partners in India, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Spain since 2010. Also, thecompany has also been the largest sponsor of the organisation’s German partner Teach FirstDeutschland since 2009.
The TFA network currently comprises 27 national partner organisations in Europe, Asia, theAmericas and the Middle East.
