FedEx Express and DHL Express have both won awards at the 27th Asian Freight & Supply ChainAwards (AFSCA) ceremony in Beijing, China, with FedEx winning another two awards at the annual
Changi Airlines Awards in Singapore.At this year’s AFSCA, FedEx Express was honoured once again with the Best All Cargo Airlineaward for the fourth year in a row recognising the company’s commitment to best-in-class services. “ FedEx is proud to be consistently recognised as the best all cargo airline,” David L. Cunningham,Jr., president, FedEx Asia Pacific, said. “This recognition by customers as well as industryplayers further demonstrates our pursuit of operational and service excellence.”
DHL was also recognised by the AFSCA with three awards as ‘Best Express Operator’, ‘BestLogistics Service Provider — Air Freight’ and ‘Best 3PL’. The awards honour the company’ssustained investment and market leadership across its express, forwarding and supply chainoperations. It is the 25th time DHL has claimed the ‘Best Express Operator’ award, for which it wasinducted into Cargonews Asia’s Hall of Fame.

The AFSCA awards are one of the most prestigious awards for the transport and supply chainindustry in Asia organised by Cargonews Asia to honour outstanding shippers, logistics providersand cargo transport companies. More than 12,000 Cargonews Asia readers were polled to select thebest service providers in over 40 industry specific categories.
Separately, FedEx Express was named ‘Partner of the Year’ and ranked the Top 2 Airline byCargo Carriage at the annual Changi Airlines Awards in Singapore. Changi Airport Group’s (CAG)Partner of the Year award recognises the strong FedEx relationship with CAG to grow and strengthenChangi Airport’s air hub status, as well as to enhance Changi’s express cargo handling capabilityand capacity.
Based on the total volume of cargo that airlines shipped in 2012, FedEx is ranked second inCAG’s “Top 10 Airlines by Cargo Carriage” list. This is the eighth consecutive year the company hasbeen recognised as a top contributor to Singapore’s Changi Airport’s overall airfreight volume.
