CollectPlus speeds ahead with Wiggle deal

CollectPlus, the UK’s largest store-based parcel delivery and returns service, has partnered withWiggle to offer the online cycling and triathlon sports brand’s customers the option to have their

purchases delivered to their local CollectPlus store.

The delivery option called ‘Click&Collect’ allows Wiggle’s customers to benefit from theexpanding CollectPlus network with over 5,000 convenience stores and petrol stations, most of whichwith long opening hours seven days a week. Sporting goods retailer Wiggle is one of a growingnumber of retailers that take advantage of this convenient delivery solution which targets busyconsumers. Details on the contract value were not disclosed.

CollectPlus, founded in 2009, is jointly owned by payment company PayPoint and parcelsoperator Yodel and recently passed a milestone by delivering its 10 millionth parcel in late 2012.In the first half of 2012, the company more than doubled parcel volumes to 3.3 million andincreased revenues by 170 per cent to £3.7 million. According to the company, 87 per cent of the UKpopulation already live within a mile of a CollectPlus shop in urban areas and 88 per cent in ruralareas.
