Austrian parcel terminal manufacturer KEBA has expanded its KePol parcel stations to the CzechRepublic with the launch of the new local operator Kouzelna Almara.
Kouzelna Almara, meaning ‘magic box’ in English, is a start-up parcels operator backed by agroup of Czech investors including Miton, Enern and Tomáš Cupr, the founder of largest CEE dailydeal company Slevomat.
KEBA and Kouzelna Almara are the first to implement and successfully operate automated parceldelivery and collection systems in the Czech market. In the initial stage, Kouzelna Almara isrolling out 15 parcel stations with 54 lockers respectively in Prague this month with plans tofurther expand the nationwide network by another 50 machines at the end of 2013 and the comingyears.
Similarly to other countries, the e-commerce market in the Czech Republic is growing rapidlyboosting parcel volumes in the country. Providing more convenience to Czech customers, KouzelnaAlmara allows them to collect their parcels round the clock at the most appropriate time and place.
Explaining the reasons for selecting KEBA’s KePol solution, David Pecenka, CEO of KouzelnaAlmara, said: “For us it is essential that we offer our customers the highest quality parcellogistics with maximum availability and absolute service reliability.”
Linz-based automation specialist KEBA has also sold parcel machines to DHL, which nowoperates more than 300 PackStation machines in Germany, Austrian Post, Baltic Post and diverseother postal and parcel operators. KEBA also operates test locations and pilot programmes invarious European countries. KEBA’s installation base of KePol parcel machines launched a decade agoamounts to a total of 3,000 with over 250,000 lockers.
