TNT Innight gets three-year contract extension with Renault Germany

TNT Innight

TNT Innight has won a three-year contract extension with Renault Germany for overnightdeliveries of time-critical spare parts.

After successful cooperation with Renault over the last three years, the European night expressoperator will continue supplying 750 Renault and Dacia retailers with urgent orders acrossGermany.

The distribution of windscreens, car wings, brake discs and other parts is made via the 25,000sqm central warehouse in Brühl. Spare parts ordered by 4 pm are delivered before the start of workthe next morning. Those repair shops that start work very early even get the parts before 6am or7am. The spare parts are transported, depending on size, without boxes, in iron-barred boxes, woodracks, euro-pallets, reusable boxes or cardboard packaging. 4,000-5,000 collis are sent on a dailybasis.

TNT Innight also handles the returns, picking up the shipments from retailers as part of thenext delivery round within three days after returns registration at the latest.

To ensure efficient and smooth processes, the IT systems of Renault and TNT Innight areinterconnected. Retailers registering returns as well as the Renault employees can access thesystem and check the current shipment status. Renault especially profits from TNT Innight’stracking option for returns so its workers can control the returns process.

“We have developed a customised logistics concept for Renault taking account of the specialrequirements of the automotive manufacturer in terms of distribution and returns management in theafter sales segment,” Steffen Beuerle, European Key Account Manager Automotive at TNT Innight, explained. “The interaction of our IT systems represents a big advantage for Renault and for usensuring the highest possible transparency across all product flows and creating the conditions toreact in a quick and flexible way, if requested.”
