DHL and Formula 1 have extended their global partnership which sees DHL provide logisticsservices and sponsorship for the high-profile motor racing championship.
The deal, which will see DHL maintain its Official Logistics and Global partner designations formotor sport’s elite competition, continues a longstanding partnership that officially began in2004. DHL will also continue to sponsor the DHL Fastest Lap Award in recognition of the driver whodelivers the highest number of fastest laps throughout each FIA Formula One World Championshipseason. The length of the contract extension was not disclosed.
As Official Logistics partner, DHL will continue to provide a comprehensive range of logisticsservices in support of the FIA Formula One World Championship, including express, ocean and airfreight, customs brokerage and specialist handling at race circuits. DHL said the “complementarystrengths” of its logistics and express divisions will ensure that the challenge of shippingdiverse, sensitive and high value items such as race cars, components, broadcast equipment and fuelover 19 race locations across 5 continents within demanding timeframes is met.
