FedEx ranked 10th Most Admired Company by FORTUNE magazine

FedEx has again received a top score in FORTUNE magazine’s World’s Most Admired Companies List,scoring 10th place among the top 50 in the 2013 survey.



“As we begin 40 years of operations, we are honoured to be included on the FORTUNE MostAdmired Companies List,” said Fred Smith, chairman, president and CEO of FedEx. “The recognition isa testament to the service culture of FedEx and our 300,000 team members who go above and beyondfor our customers every day.”

The report, conducted by consulting firm Hay Group and based on the Fortune 1,000 andFortune’s Global 500 lists of US and international top revenue companies, measures how the surveyparticipants evaluate companies according to nine criteria, from investment value to socialresponsibility. These scores then form the basis of the ranking’s 57 industry lists.

To arrive at the top 50 Most Admired Companies overall, 3,800 respondents were asked to pickthe 10 companies they admired most from a preselection by Hay Group. Since 2001, FedEx hasconsistently ranked among the top 20 in the magazine’s list.

Recently, the FedEx was also honoured in other regional rankings throughout theworld. For instance, FedEx was included in FORTUNE magazine’s 2013 list of the “100 BestCompanies to Work For” in the US. Also, in November of 2012, the Great Place to Work Institutenamed FedEx Express as one of the top ten global companies to work for in its ranking of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces for the second year in a row.
