FedEx Express opens new multi-million dollar service centre in Canada

FedEx opens Saskatoon service centre

FedEx Express Canada has opened a new, multi-million-dollar service centre in Saskatoon, thelargest city of the Canadian prairie province Saskatchewan, servicing local businesses of all

sizes.

The 2,533 sqm facility is designed to handle shipments to and from Saskatoon and its surroundingareas, and targets especially business customers in the fields of mining and energy, manufacturing,biotechnology, life sciences, construction, agriculture, education, and transportation.

With 85% of local manufacturers in the Saskaaton region exporting globally, FedEx said itsinternational services are in line with their international shipping needs.

“FedEx Express Canada is proud to commemorate the opening of our facility in a city that hasexperienced tremendous growth and opportunity,” FedEx Express Canada president Lisa Lisson said. “Much like the City of Saskatoon itself, this facility is designed to meet the needs of today andthe opportunities of tomorrow with enthusiasm and service excellence.”

The new facility features a large customer service area, ample parking, and cutting-edgetechnology for dispatching vehicles to coordinate pickups and deliveries across CentralSaskatchewan.

The facility was officially opened this week and marks the latest FedEx investment in servicecentres across Canada with several facilities having opened last year.
