Flying Cargo Express, the licensee of FedEx Express in Israel, has signed a new partnership withBritish parcel terminal operator ByBox to install its electronic lockers at Paz fuel stations,
universities and shopping centres all over the country.Through the deal, consumers and engineers will be able to collect their Flying Cargo Expressdeliveries when and where it is convenient for them from April this year. Users will be notifiedabout the arrival of their parcels via a text message to pick them up at the closest locker. Withthe parcel terminals operating 24/7, they don’t have to wait at home anymore for their items toarrive or pick them up at depots.
While being convenient, the service also turns out efficient for users. For example, engineersrequiring parts to carry out repairs and maintenance will be able to pick them up from as early as8am so they can start their working day earlier and get more jobs done during the day. Forconsumers, online shoppers in particular, the service offers more choice of where to get theirparcels delivered so they can choose a locker close to their home or work place, for example.
Udi Dagan, CEO of Flying Cargo Express, said: “Our partnership with ByBox is a giant leapforward in the goal of modernising delivery and making the process easier and more convenient forour users. ByBox lockers are used all over the world and we are excited about bringing them toIsrael. Placing the lockers at Paz fuel stations, universities and shopping centres will mean theywill be within close proximity of potential customers and they can collect their deliveries withease. We want our customers to have an additional delivery option and enjoy the convenience of theByBox locker solution.”
